Your Notary in Liechtenstein.

With trust and service in all notarial matters

General information on notaries

The Principality of Liechtenstein has only permitted the practice of the profession of notary since the year 2021. As of then, as holders of a public office, we have been offering the full range of notarial activities as provided for by the Notaries Act (Notariatsgesetz), LGBl.-Nr. 2019.306. In this regard, like all Liechtenstein notaries, we are subject to strict legal confidentiality obligations, supervision by the Liechtenstein Chamber of Notaries (Notariatskammer) and disciplinary jurisdiction, which is exercised by Fürstliches Obergericht.

The notary and the clients have the right to freely agree on the fee for the services. There is no mandatory fee schedule. The Liechtenstein Chamber of Notaries (Notariatskammer) has issued fee guidelines on the appropriate level of the fee, which can be viewed on the homepage www.notariatskammer.li.

Services

In many juridictions, a public document grants the highest possible legal security. Therefore, only a certain group of persons and official bodies are entitled to draw up public documents (notarization). The notary is entrusted by the Principality of Liechtenstein with the task of drawing up public deeds in legal form in the procedure provided for this purpose. Such a procedure is provided for by law in the case of certain legal transactions of particular significance, such as the establishment of certain legal entities (in particular stock companies, foundations) or the amendment of their articles of association or the transfer of real property.
